What is a nutritional IV?Good question. The interesting fact about taking vitamins and minerals intravenously (nutritional IV or IM) is that by bypassing your digestive tract your body completely absorbs the nutrition through the blood stream. None of the nutrients are lost during the absorption process or through your urine. With oral supplements, you only get about 20% absorption after filtering through your digestive system, clearly less than a nutritional IV.
